I was born in Limbo... ahem... southeast Virginia. As Eddie Izzard said about Europe, Virginia is "where the history comes from." I also managed to squeeze my way into the seventies. I've lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania (Philly), and recently I moved to SWFL. And now I'm back in VA again...
Pre-Hays Code Hollywood movies from the '20s and '30's, The Quiet Earth, Quills, Heat, Meet The Applegates, Sid and Nancy, The Second Coming, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Dr. Strangelove, Seven, Spanking the Monkey, Napoleon Dynamite, Galaxy Quest, Marathon Man, Ed Wood, Strange Days, Shaun of the Dead, American Psycho, Office Space, Clerks, Suspiria, Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man), Dawn of the Dead (both versions), Day of the Dead, The Thing, The Fog (original version), Life of Brian, Brain Candy, Say Anything, Grosse Pointe Blank, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Time Machine (original), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (original), Man Bites Dog, Photographing Faries, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness

Mostly stuff that's been cancelled, but a few current shows... Life on Mars, Doctor Who, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (thanks Matt!), Blake's 7, Red Dwarf, Battlestar Galactica (both versions), Sliders (the first 2 seasons), Extras, Real Time, Mr. Show, Spaced, Black Books, The Prisoner, The Outer Limits, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Marvels, Nova, Connections, The Hitchhikers' Guide BBC mini-series, MST3K, Survivors (not Survivor, I mean the 70's British series about a plague ending the world) otherwise I don't watch a lot of TV anymore. If I do it's usually the Travel or History channels.
Stardust, Neverwhere, Burning Chrome, Titus Andronicus, Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy (the whole series), Flowers for Algernon, The Stranger, The Trial, The Left Hand of Darkness, Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers, Better Than Life
Number one by far is producing & directing films (or a good television series)... Oddly enough though I don't watch them or am as knowledgeable about film history as most others who make them. But the creativity has to go somewhere, and while I play around a bit with music it doesn't give me what I need.
