Beat Aquarium Residents

Glitter Whale- Glitter Whale has been in the game for a minute. As a big fish in a small pond, he was not happy with the resources of his home town so he dropped out of school to move to the city when he was 14. After years of working with wack MCs and people who just didn't follow through, he wanted an avenue to really showcase the beats of him and some friends. So he started the Beat Aquarium in 1997. "Throw Backs: fishing for S(up)port" is a collection of tracks dedicated to the music that inspired Glitter Whale years ago. While "For the Halibut" is a unique blend of Glitter Whale beats that reflect the fun he has in the studio. Be sure to check out tracks from both albums here at the Beat Aquarium.

Hammerhead & Bottomfeeder- H&B are known in the underground circuit of Europe's seediest electronic clubs. With their dark, beautiful, and sometimes abrasive soundscapes they have created a solid group of respectators through out the years. With their first official BA release "A Journey through the life below", H&B sonically take you through a beautifully haunting and vivid exploration through the dark and maddening waters of the very deep sea. Samples of the album are available here at the Beat Aquarium.

Gefilte(r) Fish- Somewhere along the road to becoming an analytical research and development scientist, Phillip Rainy a/k/a Gefilte(r) Fish (pronounce Ga fil tuh fish) became infatuated with sound. So when phil isn't going to school, he is focusing his scientific approach to experiment within the world of music. GF found a home for his music when long time acquaintences and collaborators, Hammerhead & Bottomfeeder, introduced him to Glitter Whale. With "ScUBA radio" GF plans to bring some of his more musical sound experiments together to form a compilation of sporadic genre bending songs that are inspired by his infatuation with marine biology. Listen to samples of what GF listens to while he snorkels here at Beat Aquarium.
