Well, been looking ahead for a new place to move into come mid-July/August timeframe.. and I think I found one that I like and not too pricey :D. A 2 bedroom loft-like layout with a nice large amount of space. Going to love the larger space considering this tiny apartment I'm currently in is only 500 sq. ft. in size, and I've been here for 9 yrs at the end of this current lease. Definitely time to move on into a bigger, nicer place for a new fresh start :). One nice thing too is this new place is managed by the SAME company that manages the apartments I am currently living in. So I'm sure I shouldn't have any problems getting the new place considering I have never had a single complaint against me throughout the 9 yrs I've been here, never was late on rent, and the management has been nothing but courteous & helpful to me; especially during numerous periods of medical ordeals I've been through. Good example of that: in 2000 while going through extensive chemo, the apartment management walked over each month to pick up my rent when I was physically unable to get out of bed & they'd offer to run errands or take out my trash if needed. Always thought that was very damn cool of them to offer assistance like that.

I'll list some of the basic info below plus some of the new furniture I plan to purchase. Figured since I'll have the money to buy new furniture, might as well take advantage of the opportunity to start out with all new stuff for once in my life heh. No more hand-me-down crap ;).

I'll be getting a Tempurpedic mattress set then for this new bed. Mmm memory-foam sleeping, tried one at my friend's place... best friggin night of sleep in YEARS!! Definitely getting one then.

Probably a wall mirror as well then, and some closet organizing shelf/box system to keep things nice & organized.

For the 2nd bedroom, I'll be making that into my office/art studio area then. Looking around for a nice large-surface-spaced L-corner desk setup. Haven't found something that pleases my interests/needs for a multi-computer & multi-monitor setup. I'll also have a large craft/work table & my drawing table set up then. And maybe 2 tall bookcases for various storage needs. Plus I figure; if room permits, I may buy a wooden-framed futon couch for in the office as well. That way, if my nieces or family wanna spend the night... or any guests as well, they can sleep on the futon bed then. Should be a nice setup once I get everything and get it all setup. I plan to decorate the walls with a large cork-based bulletin board and tons of inspirational artwork, designs, cutouts, etc. Along with my own drawings & sketches as well. I envision it in my head... and I wanna make it a room that makes my creative juices flow and just a fun-atmosphere-like appeal ;).

I hope to purchase all this & additional small knick-knacks as needed from now until this fall/winter I figure. For sure, everything by the end of this year :). I can't wait to move and start building a fresh new place for living. Gonna be a nice & much needed change in life, that's for sure. Any suggestions or whatnot, please feel free to mention them. Just for fun, I think I'm gonna dive into Google SketchUp and layout this new apartment floorplan to try to make a 3D/2D visual representation so I can try and decide how to sort out each room. Should be a fun lil side project to keep me busy heh.
