I'm a struggling writer, musician, and drum instructor who is unsatisfied with his day job as a gear in the machine. I live with my wife Jessica in The Dalles, Oregon.
We are self-confessed geeks; lovers of tech, literature, and song. We enjoy many of the usual geek pursuits: independent publishing, independent media, and open source software and hardware. We love games like World of Warcraft, retro gaming, movies, and conventions for everything from comics to technology. In my youth I spent more time than I would like to admit on my TI-99 4/A and my Odyssey 2 video game system.
I worked in and around a comic store for 4 years developing a well defined taste for quality graphic novels from writers such as Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Warren Ellis and Garth Ennis.
I attended the University of Oregon. It was a foggy fun time performing with the U of O marching band in a variety of places up and down the West Coast, as well as in Shreveport, Louisiana for the 1992 Independence Bowl on ESPN.
I was a member of many bands during high school and college including: The Stiffs, I.T., Renaissance Blue, and Wymsikal Triod.
I am a Nine Inch Nails expert.
I am also the founder of the musical group Dead Poets Society. We are pretty well known for our quirky original albums as well as our remixes of artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Collide, Minefield, and Hotboxed.
I look forward to meeting new people all the time. :: puts out the welcome mat ::

Keith Gibbs, Mar 26, 2007:
Thanks for the greet and comment about my layout! It's in progress and new, but feedback is always appreciated.
As for scripting languages, I myself have a hankering to learn Python, but little time to fiddle. I do some PHP and I really do like that. My bud Chrys (linked as a friend in my profile, who actually happens to be a Virb Dev) is really big on PHP, so he may be a nice person to hit.
I think Python may be the way to go (speed, C-encoding for modules, dynamic-typing fun) - really interested myself in having my hand at the Django framework after meeting the lead dev at a AJAX conference a few months back.
Cheers.
