The scene is as follows: it is nighttime and I am at a luxury apartment/penthouse (presumably mine). I am climbing the stairs to get to my room and run into a (some might say beautiful) blonde woman about my age. Meeting this woman I quickly find that there is something about her that I don't like, but think nothing of it and continue heading toward my penthouse. She follows me and as I get to the door, she hands me a $5 bill that has writing along the perimeter (although I don't remember anything about what it said).
Before I can get in the door, I see a friend (presumably) who begins to discuss his dream of being a standup comedian and his fears of "not being good enough". I tell him that he has nothing to worry about and should that he should try his hand at it. I then enter the penthouse and turn on the TV, only to see this friend delivering a fine monologue (it was kind of like a closed-circuit TV kind of deal). The friend finishes and I turn off the TV.
I go to the CD rack, picked one out and put in my stereo. Tom Waits' "Eggs And Sausage (In A Cadillac With Susan Michelson)" starts to play. There is a knock at the door; I open it to find that blonde girl from before, she enters and tells me that she wants her $5 bill back. I reach in my pocket and blindly hand her a $5 bill (not the one she gave me). She starts to scream and swear at me unintelligibly, I reach back in my pocket to find that $5 bill. I find it very quickly and try to hand it to her but she will not pay attention.
It is as I am trying to give this woman her $5 back, a huge, well built man (her boyfriend?) appears wearing all black (with slicked-back black hair and black sunglasses to boot), he pulls out a pistol and shoots me twice. He then tries to throw a large hunting knife at my [censored], but barely misses.
Never to be continued...
By the way, I'm shooting for a late October, 2009 release date for "Minn-Knot".
