So I won't lie, I haven't been to the Getty in a really long time... maybe six years and six years ago I wasn't an aspiring artist, so lets just say things have changed. Everything about the Getty is phenomenal. The architecture, scenery, foliage and environmental design are all well done and so beautiful. Just wanted to tell you guys that Jason Schwartzman (The Darjeeling Limited, I <3 Huckabees, Slackers, and Rushmore) is a musician as well as being a good actor. He first started out as the drummer of Phanton Planet, who did the theme song "California" for the show "The O.C." Anyways, as I was saying he's also a musician, and he just released his second album, "Davy." His debut album "Nighttimming" was amazing, if you haven't heard any of his music please start listening to that CD. Great tracks include Nighttimming and West Coast. I want to say he makes pop music but it's not pop that we are used to now, more so the kind of pop before this time. Anyways just passing the word of good music.

Oh yeah forgot to mention the amazing album cover. Really beautiful typography and illustration, smart design.

So I just want to remind all of you that the inauguration of the 44th president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, will be this Tuesday... he will be sworn in at 11:30 AM. This is an exciting day for us all, history in the making so please, I hope all of you witness it by either listening or watching the inauguration on Tuesday.

CNN as usual has some great visuals online relating to the inauguration, they have a complete schedule of events here. One thing CNN did which, which I loved, was that they put up all of the past presidents inaugural speech transcripts/videos, all the way back to George Washington... you can view that here.

This has been all over the news, I'm sure most of you have already heard about it but none the less it's an amazing story. A commercial airplane was actually able to land on the hudson river due to birds jamming both engines without anyone getting hurt. This must have been a life changing situation for the passengers of that airbus, thinking you are going to die as the plane is crashing then surviving. Kudos to the pilot.

Hello! I have finally had some time to redesign/rewrite the blog and get it back up. It's been almost four months since I originally took it down and man I have been craving to have it back. Good thing I had a lot of time this winter break.

I have truly been busy for the last few months applying and visiting different art schools, working at the Apple store, doing my mentorship at BMW Designworks USA and school of course. I hope everyone is having a great new year under a new president and I hope to get this blog better than ever.

I honestly would be frightened if Miss Palin became our President, no offense to her at all but she is just not suited to be a president and that is so obvious it hurts. It was a pretty good move-in, didn't have too many problems... I really like my room. It's great o have a kitchen this year, we already cooked a dinner last night so it will definitely be a nice break from the cafe food. It's a four bedroom/two bath apartment, I share a bathroom with my friend Andrew. I have a feeling this will be a great year now that I am a second year I know what to expect and what to do. Finally, finally I have done my first modification via Steve's Auto Clinic and Alta Mini Performance. This morning I got an Alta Cold Air Intake installed into my car and I am loving it. Steve has already laid out a few other modifications to do next and I can't wait.
