Danny Brewer (born May 21, 1983), a singer/songwriter from Atlanta, began writing under the alias Besides Daniel in 2000.

Over the past six years, Besides Daniel has explored several different sounds, styles, & subject matter. Since his debut release, Silent Side Projects (2001), Danny has maintained a weighty and spacious sound, & has recently adopted a folk influenced song structure.

Danny reinvented his sound on his third and most recent effort, I am the Fall, You are the Spring (2007). The songs on this release remain extremely raw, incorporating a humble blend of acoustic instruments.

Besides Daniel's live performances incorporate many unique sounds including accordion, glockenspiel, banjo, piano, melodica, & many vocal harmonies, provided by a few of Danny's close friends.

Susanne O'Day joined Besides Daniel in the beginning of 2008, singing harmonies, playing glockenspiel, piano, melodica, etc. She also had a small part in the songwriting process for some of the most current tunes.
