Brian Gilham is a 21-year-old journalist and photographer, living and working in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. He is a graduate of the print-journalism program at Loyalist College and is currently enrolled in the web development program at Durham College. Brian has completed written and photographic assignments for a variety of publications and clients, including the Kingston Whig-Standard, the Shark Tank Pub, On Your Own magazine, The Pioneer: Country Edition, and The Pioneer. He currently writes on a regular basis for Torontoist, the largest Canadian blog of its kind.
With two years of post-secondary education under his belt, and two more to come, Brian hopes to find work in the Canadian online journalism/media industry, developing code for organizations like the CBC, CTV, the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, and Dose. A long-time writer and coder, he believes most media outlets have yet to fully embrace the opportunities offered by the Internet and hopes to one day help push those boundaries outward.
If you would like to hire Brian for your writing-related project, feel free to give him a shout.
