I am the black sheep of my family. I adopted that position after my older sister decided it didn't fit her anymore, which is fine with me. At 18 I had become comfortable with the whole idea of not really fitting in with my family. I don't do things the way that the rest of my family does, I don't exactly believe they way they do, or see people through the same glasses that they do. I choose to be different, and I enjoy it. I am a passive, democratic, open-minded, passionate, religiously ambiguous man. Oh yeah, I'm also a homosexual. Whodathunk? Raised Baptist, with little glimpses of other denominations, I was never really sure of my place in my family, because I always have known I was different in some way or another. Ever since I could remember I have known I liked boys more than girls, and was only interested in girls because they had dolls and it made my parents happy. I tried to be normal, but hey, what's normal? So I grew up, faster at some points than others. I had to learn how to stand up for myself, how to be masculine, how to be an individual that wasn't really himself. I wasn't me, I was what I thought everyone else said I should be, the ultimate chameleon. And I pretended to like it. I was so incredibly uncomfortable in my own skin for nineteen years, it was like someone had put salt inside my skin and left me there to writhe in it. I was going to church and sitting and listening as the preacher basically told us, "God loves everyone... except..." Which I always knew was wrong because no where in the religious texts does it say so. I am not going to get into that though because I have given up on the politically driven religious community, and don't think that is only a certain small percent or what have you. That is everyone who has one conviction or another, no matter what religion or belief system that they hold. So now here I am, just an overly opinionated author. You don't have to read my blog, but you are going to because you know deep inside that so far, as little as is written, something vibrates within you. Now whether or not that's because you have a pocket rocket or just because you are sitting on a particularly vibratious seat, I don't know. But something in your bones tells you that, hey, I think I see something here. So tada, I have just convinced you to read my blog. Which, by the way, is a really long string of unrelated opinions and topics that I just pulled out of my butt at some point or another. That is how I write, I enjoy it. Let me tell you something that will clarify it all really fast, I HAVE A.D.H.D. Ok? That said... We're off! ...
