BILLION BIOGRAPHY
www.myspace.com/billionmusic
Raised in Hialeah in a single mother home, fathered by the streets of Miami, 27 year old Nicaraguan-American lyricist Billion is a new generation of talent. A product of his environment, Billion took to the fast life at a young age but later found his true calling in hip-hop, listening to Wu-Tang, Beastie Boys, and Jay-Z. Billion is a new breed of artist, capable of delivering fiery-hot lyrics and dope beats.
Billion first started recording and performing at 16 with his group South P.O.E., the Miami based rap trio consisting of Lucky Luck, and the late and forever missed Endo (R.I.P.). In 2000 Billion moved to New York City, the mecca of hip-hop, and formed the eclectic group Piranhas Band with artist/producers Kaz and Joe Blaxx. Piranhas Band developed a loyal fan base performing at numerous venues throughout New York such as S.O.B.'s and The Knitting Factory. The group was also featured on Telemundo 47's morning news show "Primera Edicion." In 2004 Billion released his first solo album, The Unwritten Chapters, on Kwality Records.
Billion's new album, I-95 Highway Ridin, is the perfect companion to ride the highways of the U.S. It is a compilation album featuring new music from Billion as well as rappers from up and down the East Coast. Billion linked up with Kaz and his core clique, past and present, to release I-95 Highway Ridin independently through Kwality Records. Fully invested, he also produced the bulk of the album. With plans to tour the world and two additional projects in the works, Billion is claiming his spot in music.
