blstr is the solo project of steve fors, a multi-instrumentalist and one-half of the psych-drone band the golden sores. his first solo release, a limited edition full-length cd-r, continu|um (self-released under the moniker unseen|unknown, drone cowboy records), is a six-song, 46-minute exploration of melodic drone and dissonance. the work on this page reflects a somewhat new direction, coinciding with a move to brooklyn, a new job, and the birth of his first grandson. in addition to his solo project, steve is a founding member of chicago's lap steel guitar collective united steelworkers union.
