While working on the 10th SYRIA album, Christian Dörge began writing and recording his first BORGIA DISCO album - musically influenced by 60s soundtrack composers, 80s dark jazz-chansons and 90s trip-hop-attacks and lyrically still moving somewhere between cryptic Kafka machines, ghosts of Keats and Cocteau and the adventures of the cybernetic nightmare detectives, the songs are dominated by Christian Dörge´s distinctive vocals and electronic music systems, looped noises, distortions, reverberations and tea-girl melodies.
BORGIA DISCO is signed to Smart Bomb-Records, a 6-track-MCD called 'Utopia' and an album (featuring 16 songs) entitled 'Travels In The Scriptorium' were released on March 7th, 2008.
Christian Dörge has just finsished the recordings for a new e.p.-CD and album (both to be released in early 2009).
