Bourbon Road (originally called The Barnburners) began as a classic blues band in 1997 in Yorba Linda, California. "Lucky" Scott Hudson founded the band with the purpose of bringing great blues music to the Southland. The lineup changed multiple times throughout the years, but the heart and soul of the band has remained the same--an upbeat, fun show with great music that moves you.
In January 2008, the band revamped the lineup, and the new blood brings an amazing amount of talent and experience. Chris "Chief" De Soto has played the Hammond B-3 and piano with some of the best blues artists in the industry, including Etta James, Bonnie Raitt and Greg Serrato. Al Bonowitz comes to us from playing drums with members of the classic '60's group The Troggs, among others. With a soul that goes way beyond his 21 years, Matt Sullivan plays with the finesse of many guitarists three times his age, bringing amazing guitar licks and charisma to the show.
"Cleanhead" Joe McGaha has been singing with the band since 1999, and looks forward to many great years to come. "Lucky" Scott Hudson enjoys continued success playing bass guitar with the band, as well as his growing popularity in the racing circuit.
Bourbon Road 2008 is indeed a force to be reckoned with.
