hi, i have a question on the player. don't know where to ask it tho.
the player seems to stop after playing 2 tunes. i loaded some new ones about 12 hrs ago and they show up on the player but don't play.
is that normal? it doesn't bother me if that's the way it is for 24hrs or so. just curious.

I would suggest sending this along to the bug report form at the bottom of every page. Just click on the "Report a bug" button, at the bottom.

Personally, I understand exactly what I'm looking at in this screen. Recent Activity with pre-set filters. O: Wicked awesome.

I am going to withhold final judgment until later.
It is my hope that you guys are not obsessing too much on form over function. I hope the UI has some ergonomic usefulness instead of just "looking good".
For instance, I remember my wife being confused like heck the first time she tried Virb. She could not understand the search functionality in the current Virb. There is a browse button on the top bar and then there is a search button and a "search anything" field so she would apply criteria the browse box and then hit "search" (and she was taken to another screen). Overall the interface was clean but still ambiguous.
In this new screen shot that you are showing, I am not sure what i am looking at (and how it relates to "recent activity"). Also, the word "All" appears twice; which can be a source of ambiguity if the context and scope is not clear enough. What is the **scope** of the "explore" tab ? Which portions of the interface does it affect ? What is contribute ? (contribute where ? ... to recent activity ?) What is the context of the gray bar ? Is it a general navigation menu for the profile ? If so, does the user have enough visual cues to understand which bar affects what context ? (For instance what is the scope of the white menu bellow the gray tabs) ?
Again, I have no doubt you guys will do a great job with the visuals, it is the UI ergonomics that I am worried about.

@ThomasAn: We've got the form down. That is apparent in the current Virb design. This redesign is about function, more than anything else.

Thank you Brad !
I do have *very* high hopes for Virb and have been looking forward to 2.0 (thus, I wanted to make sure you are on your toes :-) ).

Ahhh... rounded-corner-goodness...
(so are we gonna have "firends" and "contacts" as in "Friends" and "Followers" on Twitter?)

Sorta like Twitter, but sorta not... More of just an easier way to allow organization of your (real) friends and who are simply your contacts.

Ah, looks like a twitter update from Stephan. With integration as nice as that I might have to finally create a twitter account. I here it's the hip thing to do.

The integration is nice & tight. You can have Twitter feeds show in your recent activity and also allow then to control your Virb Status Message.
