“I’m in my grandmother’s apartment. I’m sitting in the living room on her couch. It’s not a particularly uncomfortable couch but it’s got this terrible, brown, paisley print and it’s covered in hair from that fucking dog of hers. It’s a shelty and looks about as old as she does. It’s laying on the floor, staring at me with its glazed over and crusty eyes. I don’t know what the fuck it wants. I hate that bitch. The dog, I mean.
I remember it being dark outside. No. It was dusk. I don’t know. It could have been morning, I guess, but it didn’t seem cold enough. I heard people laughing from my grandmother’s bedroom. I get up from the couch and realize the dog isn’t there anymore. I leave the living room and head for the bedroom. The only light in the entire apartment that was left on was the one on the end table next to the couch. She was on this whole conservation kick. Good for the environment or not, it didn’t seem safe for some senile old lady to be walking around a cluttered apartment in the dark. At least the only steps are the ones on the small latter she uses to reach the sink when she does the dishes.
I approach the door, but now I don’t hear anything. If she has some old geezer over, I’m going to shit a brick. I open the door to a room that of course is completely dark. Maybe she’s just blind at this point and lighting wouldn’t make any difference. Maybe she’s been cooped up in this dark apartment so long that she has super advanced night vision like that little cave dweller boy I saw once in an episode of Bones. Fuck, the Deschanels are hot. Did you see Yes Man?”
” I don’t think I did.”
“Well get on that shit. It’s great, but you see Zooey’s tits in Gigantic. Weird ass movie, but it has tits. Deschanel tits.”
“I’ll have to keep that in mind. What’s it called again?”
“Gigantic, man. Fuck! you know for someone who gets paid to listen, you do kind of a shitty job. You know what, fuck it. Don’t see the movie. It was probably a body double anyway.”
“Tell me more about your dream.”
“So I walk into the bedroom and I turn on the light. Her bed was perfectly made as it always was. Old people never have anything better to do than to mop and make beds, I swear to god. There’s no one on the bed. Imagine my relief. There is an attached bathroom that doesn’t have a door. It’s just a big entry way-type thing. It really opens up the room. The bathroom walls were flickering amber like it was lit up by candles. There’s a woman in the tub completely naked and she’s giving this little boy a sponge bath. Great tits. Completely wasted on this little bastard. I see a scar on the woman’s right shoulder. It’s one of those vaccine scars that immigrants get, but it was really bad. Then I start to freak out. When my grandmother came to this country, she got vaccinated but the wound got infected. Pretty ironic if you ask me, but either way it got infected and when it finally healed it left a nasty scar just like the one this woman had. The woman in the bathtub had to be a younger version of my grandmother. I felt kind of awkward all of a sudden for checking her out.
If that was my grandmother, then it was my dad that she was bathing. I have no idea what he looked liked because he died before I was born, but here he was in this fucking tub. This was really freaking me out. The one time I actually get to see my real dad, he’s a little kid being washed by the fucking mammary queen.”
“Have you seen photographs taken of your father when he was a child?”
“Yeah, of course. I don’t care about that, though.”
“Then what was your concern?”
“I think I’m in love with my grandmother. I mean, that rack! My god. I just want to walk up to her, and put my face right in there and mot…”
{ Ding. }
“Well, I’m afraid our time is up for today. We’ll have to pick up where we left off next week. In the mean time… I’d say forget about this dream. I don’t really see any relevance to your life. Consider it a an opportunity to have seen your father at some point while he was still alive. As for your grandmother…”
“Oh she’s dead. I don’t need to worry about that.”
David, the psychiatrist just stares at his client, mildly annoyed.
“Have a good day, Mr. Gooden.”
David stands up along with his client and walks towards the door.
“You don’t think this is a problem, this dream of mine? I mean, that’s kind of disturbing isn’t it?”
“Like I said Mr. Gooden. We’ll pick back up on this next week.”
David’s client is basically forced out the door which David promptly closes behind him. David lets out an exhausted sigh as he leans his back against the door. The phone rings.
“Ugh. What?!”
“Damn, Dave. Who shit in your bedsheets?”
“Monty? Oh man. I am not in the mood.”
“Well get in the mood. We’re going out tonight, and you’re buying the first round.”
“What? Why me?”
“You remember Ashle…”
“I’ll meet you in twenty at Grand.”

Word.
Yeah… Those things suck! This one lasted particularly long and I was losing my breathe unable to inhale.
In other news, I love the new layout of my portfolio site, but the variation of color styles and editing between each image is seriously distracting the shit out of me. The night overall needs a lot of work, but it’s a step in the right direction. I know I’m not supposed to, but I’m thinking of re-editing some old photos for the sake of consistency.
I’ve also been developing and improving my audio production workflow. Right now it includes Logic Pro 9 and WaveBurner. People talk up ProTools, but really I don’t think it can do anything that I would understand that I’m not already doing with Logic. I’m reorganizing my music an prowct storage as well. I need this shit to be systematic. Maybe I should write step-by-step flow charts for my various workflows and organizational steps. Hmm.
Wow. My stomachs hurts really bad all of a sudden. I just realized that I haven’t eaten anything all day. I had a banana, and some chips sometime this evening, but that’s it. Wow.
Alright, I need to get back to this movie with Kevin Spacey that I can’t remember the name of. Happy Thanksgiving [ practically a genocide of the native Americans ]. Any reason for current Americans to stuff their faces, I suppose.

Sigh. That pretty much sums it up for the moment. I don’t know how accurate the first part is. I mean perceptions may vary.
In other news, I’ve been renovating my portfolio over the last couple days. I like where it’s going, but I hate the variations in photo styles. It makes the gallery page look so… Scattered. I don’t know. I’m sure I shouldn’t be fretting over this.
I’m in bed right now watching Gigantic for the third time. It’s good, but enough is enough. We were watching Shrink, but the movie broke.
Ohh welllll.
I’d love to stay and chat, but I’m posting this from my phone and I’m quickly losing enthusiasm. Goodnight.

I went for a bike ride yesterday. Initially intending on exploring an abandoned hospital downtown, I actually ended up on quite the adventure. In the earliest stage of said adventure, I decided to take a quick photo of the LA River. Seems apropos that in a major metropolitan area, this concrete canal would be called a river.

I’ve gone through and cleaned house a bit. DesignBlog now features a much cleaner and simplistic layout. Minimalism all the way! And what’s this? The posts are bigger by like a hundred pixels! You are totally excited. There’s probably some other new features burried in here somewhere, as well. Haha. |BPT

I just installed Windows 7 64-bit on my Mac Pro that I hope to sell here in the next couple of days. I’m pissed because I’m trying to install Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2, and Steam is being effing lame. The game just came out, and I want to play it! The silly thing though, is that I’m planning on getting rid of this computer, so why am I am even attempting to install and play games on this computer. It’s just madness. I’m listening to my best friend and his girlfriend make all kinds of stupid noises behind me. Ugh. Go to sleep!
I’m working on getting a Video Blog set up so Marc and I can catalog our adventures and publish our daily tedium for all the world to ignore. It’s not as though we believe that anyone will be interested in the content we post, but it is a nice repository for memories, and they’re all in the cloud as opposed to stored locally and inaccessible without special measures. Goooo internet!
Windows 7 isn’t terrible so far. I mean, it IS Windows, and I will always kind of hate it, but this version doesn’t suck entirely. I don’t really know what else to post here. I’m going to find some other crap to do. Goodnight.
