Briana Marela has just emerged from the sea of singer/songwriters that flourish in Seattle. The young musician has recently finished her first EP called Stuck in a Rhythm. Marela is not signed to a label as of yet, but managed to release her EP under the caring guidance of northwest favorite Johanna Kunin, and Kunin's talented local friends.

Produced by Eric Eagle (drummer for Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter), Marela is also joined on Stuck in a Rhythm by the incredible Steve Moore and Karl Blau (known perhaps best for their work with Laura Veirs) and by Paris Hurley (of Degenerate Art Ensemble). Although the EP has an exeptional sound with full band, it is most likely that Marela will be playing shows solo, with just her and the acoustic guitar.

Haha thanks! Um, I went to Washington DC over midwinter break, and we visited Ford's Theatre and the house where Lincoln died. There was a whole museum below the theater, and Licoln is my favorite president, like ever.

I just listened to your songs, and I am so very impressed.
