I've been studying John 1 over the past month. It begins with, "In the beginning was the Word..." That phrase is packed full of meaning. People for generations had philosophized about the meaning of "Word," well before John was written (Socrates & Plato included).
It seems like many of them concluded that it was somehow divine, powerful & all-over. In fact many people had an idea of The Word being quite similar to the idea of The Force in the Star Wars films. On Sunday we are going to plunge into the meaning of The Word, and how the book of John offers a drastically different idea of The Word.
I'm stoked to get into this series, and almost ready for Sunday. But I'll leave you with 2 other thoughts:
1. Yoda & Grover have the same voice. Beautiful.
2. Weird Al has a great music video in honor of Yoda. You should watch it.
