Late last night I me-up with some great friends to hang-out at the bowling alley. My bowling was horrible (I failed to break 100 – no surprise). The hot dog I ate was equally horrible, but it smelled so good. But the time with friends was priceless.

One lane over from us was someone whom I hadn’t seen in a long time. The two of us caught-up for a little while and made sure we had each other’s numbers. This leads me to ask, “Do you believe in coincidences?” I’ve been wondering if God has something in mind. Can I encourage this person somehow? Or is vice-versa? Or am I just supposed to move-on in life and forget about it?

My opinion – I don’t think it was coincidence. I may have no idea what God has in mind, but it seems like the faithful response to “coincidences” like this it to take the next step. So I did – thank goodness for Facebook. I sent an invite for this person to join our college-age group tonight. We just so happen to be meeting within walking distance of this person’s campus housing. Hmmm.
