Yesterday we tackled the question, "Is Jesus the Only Way to God?" Some cool things resulted, and we were able to help some people. (The sermon should be on-line this afternoon.)
But a few people pointed-out something funny that happened - and it was completely unintentional. We had some cone-shaped mountains (about 3 feet tall) that I used during my sermon to illustrate what I was talking about. When I moved to the back of the stage to get them, during the beginning of my sermon, I was talking about the statement that Madonna made (and many others make), "All roads lead to God." But apparently I really threw people for loop by saying "Madonna" as I was walking towards some large cone-shaped things. I can't say I blame them. Fortunately, those who caught it (mostly children of the 80's) restrained their laughing until they teased me after the sermon. I admit, that's pretty funny. The other funny thing is that a couple of people wondered if I did that on purpose just to leave people in tension for a moment. Nope - I was oblivious to it all.
