I seem to be having an increasing number of urban-related opportunities & challenges. By "urban" I mean things are normally associated with the urban experience. Is that too vague? Sorry. Let me give you a few examples:

-I was able to help quite a few people with food this past week. It was unusual in that they were people I knew. I know that these aren't just urban issues, but there is always more need where there are more people.

-I have an opportunity with a number of guys in their young 20's who like to play basketball. Almost all of them grew up with an "inner city" experience (school, family & socio-economic).

-Related to this opportunity are a number of challenges. I'm trying to educate myself but have a lot of learning to do. I'm looking forward to gathering with a group in February who come from urban contexts. I'm looking forward to what I can learn.
