Brian, I popped your CD into my laptop this evening as I was writing up my J-term paper. I had to stop typing and look up your website to read your lyrics. Man, this is great stuff! I'm currently preaching through the Sermon on the Mount and would love to use some of these songs. With your permission I'd love to work some of these up! Wish you had the song you sang for us at the Sheraton... that really spoke to me. You've got a great gift! Thanks so much for making this available to us!

yeah, it's been that way with me all my life. I remember field days in elementary school where the only awards I collected were big purple ribbons with gold writing that said "Thanks for participating!" but you know what? Big boy was proud of his participation...sack race is no small apples for a big fella when he knows he's just gonna fall over eight or nine times and be laughed at. "Runner Up' has been my latest development. When I make a record that strikes gold, I'll be sure to include a little purple sticker on every copy that says, "Thanks for participating!"

hey! I thought I'd let you know I entered "Ring Them Bells" in a Bob Dylan cover song contest that MySpace hosted in lieu of the 'I'm Not There' soundtrack and I received an acknowledgment from Columbia Records and Bob Dylan's manager for coming in as runner up, along with a few Dylan cd's!
...wish I could have won, but it's good enough for me.
