As far as the metaphor line--and I'm not sure what exactly you're saying with that Sean Connery thing--but I had a couple things in mind when I wrote that. I am describing real photos in that song, so yeah, the scenes described aren't metaphors. Second, it's like that note at the beginning of Huck Finn, where Twain was saying "anyone who tries to find meaning here will be shot," cos he knew the best way to get someone to do something is to tell them not to do it.
