My paintings entertain opposite ends of the spectrum, from gestural and dirty to hard and graphic. The combination of the two is what interests me most, while also inspiring my mixed media approach to working.

Heavily influenced by social issues of today, with an emphasis on ideas of religion, sexuality, and gender roles, my work is forced into a slue of contradictions. This battle of introspection and outward directness defines my most recent body of work.
