Buck Brothers

Punk / Rock / Indie

London

Billboard

The three Bucksters met accidentally in January 2005 at the unlikely setting of a suburban Buddhist Disco in North London. Being the only three men in attendance with hair on top of their heads - Andy, Pete and Stixx found themselves backed into a corner after the disco turned into a sedate chant-fest.

The three lads quickly discovered that they had more than just follicular abundance in common and joined forces at an East London rehearsal studio a week later. And it was here that the Buck Brothers sound was born.

After tours in Europe & North America the band recorded their debut album, "Me," out October 2007 in the US (Coach House Records) and the UK (Cargo Records/Fading Ways). To commemorate the release date of the first single from the album "Girls, Skirts, Boots, Bikes' in the UK, Buck Brothers successfully achieved a world record entry for 'highest number of gigs performed in 12 hours' in their native London with 28 shows undertaken on 5th March '07. The trio beat the previous record by two, and received press coverage from multiple UK outlets including television (ITV, GMTV, BBC News), paper (Evening Standard, London Lite, too many local papers to mention) and radio (XFM, BBC Radio, Campus Radio). Off the back of this achievement, the band was invited to support Primal Scream at the Krasnaya Presnya Park Festival in July 2007.

Some Interesting Facts about Buck Brothers

- None of the members are actually brothers or called Buck. - Buck Brothers have had more drummers than Spinal Tap. - Drummer Stixx is not related to Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx despite having a similar name. - All three Bucks were deported from the USA at Detroit International Airport on the eve of their first 6 week tour of the states in 2006. The mug shots nearly made it onto the cover of the band's debut album. - Daniel "Harry Potter" Radcliffe is a very big fan and claims on his official website (www.danradcliffe.co.uk) to be "addicted to the CD". - MTV's reality show "My Super Sweet 16" regularly features Buck Brothers' music in their program.
