Pioneering hip-hop frontman, author, and reality television star Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons will speak at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall on Thursday, November 5, at 7:00 p.m.
Best known to his fans as co-founder of the groundbreaking hip-hop group Run DMC, Rev Run has gained a new audience as the patriarch on the MTV reality series Run's House.
An ordained minister at Zoe Ministries, Run is never short on advice and words of wisdom for both his family and his fans. As evidenced in episodes of his television show, his books, and recordings, Rev Run aims to inspire with every phrase.
For his United Students Government-sponsored appearance at Buffalo State, Run will be discussing such topics as family values, fashion, and Run DMC's ongoing legacy.
Buffalo State students can purchase up to two tickets at $5 each. All other tickets are $15 each. Tickets are available at the Rockwell Hall box office, Student Union box office, or by phone at (716) 878-3005.
