I work as a multimedia designer / programmer with Flash, PS, Visual Studio for Asp.net and such. In my time away from the office, you'll likely find me at school. I go to Cal Poly Pomona, almost done with my BS in BA:CIS. When I'm not at school or at work, I'm usually exercising my other creative side, producing spontaneous photographs, and various incomplete illustrations, digital paintings, et cetera. Less frequently than I'd like, I'll chill with friends, when the events and happenings in life will allow.
Where artistic things become the topic, writing for me is generally, and with few exceptions, an academic requirement. I would however rate my writing ability above my skill with a camera, haha. Photography, though, is my favorite epressive medium. Its interpretation is not as straightforward and so I can 'say' what I really mean with it. Lol, that's quite a paradox. Photography is really new to me whereas writing has been with me since Kindergarten. In the future, probably when my income can support it, I'd like to try technology as a mechanism for expression. I've seen some really cool things done with interactive displays and dynamic works of art.
The truth is, that I really can't decide in which direction I'd like to proceed. Each has its own captivating appeal. I've even fooled myself into thinking I can learn how to create works in the musical discipline. Then I could always craft bows (preferably of the recurve sort (: ) for a living. ... . .. . ... .
Gagosian Liga says:
"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music!
