Polaroid Says Goodbye to Instant Film?

alt

In 1948, Polaroid began production of the world changing instant photo film and cameras. As you've probably heard, Sixty years later they announced that by the end of the year they'd be shutting down their production facilities in Mexico and Netherlands to focus on digital products like printers and cameras.

Many designers, photographers and artists like us were in shock. How could they ... why would they? We love our polaroid for parties and more. We suggest you buy the film while you still can, before it's all on ebay. Hopefully by years end, other companies like Fujifilm will take over where Polaroid left off and maybe even get the licensing to make a better product.

If you know of some great places to get a variety of Polaroid films for reasonable prices, comment here and let us know. For the time being, keep creating and keep enjoying those instant cameras you've grown to love.
