I'm just a Jersey Girl whose interests consist of avoiding people who have a penchant for making others miserable, admiring people who take the initiative to make a progressive constructive change in this world, absorbing knowledge and looking toward the future with a healthy attitude, and hoping that ignorance won't be the factor that sends a storm to drown my home

I had planned, a while back, a weekend with my husband in Connecticut. Don and I went to see a concert in Ridgefield, then had a lovely late night supper at Bulls-Head Diner. This was the only thing open past eleven o'clock. I have to say that I was not disappointed at …

I know that rain is necessary, but why does it have to come in droves. Especially when I have to walk from building to building during a downpour of monsoon proportions. It seems that this year we haven't had any snow and we have had more rain. Winter seemed, aside …

I got your recommended Heart song. Thanks! Magic Man...boy this song transports me to my college years. I guess that reveals my age somewhat, doesn't it? Are you a big fan of Heart?

Ya know.... I lived in Yardley, PA (across the river from Trenton, NJ, for most of growing-up years. I graduated from Pennington School in Pennington, NJ. Also visited the Jersey shore for many years, particularly Ocean City but also Barneget (sp?) Light. And then when i was real young (K-4th), i lived in Westfield and Plainfield, NJ. So, i'm an easterner by upbringing but i would never leave the west to live back there. Sorry.

The question I ask of you about your lousy professor is: Will she get any feedback on her sucky teaching skills? Is there any accountability for this person? That's one of the problems with education: there is no feedback loop for teachers from their students, especially at the K-12 level but you also see it at the college level. It's an antiquated aspect of the system when you compare it to the corporate training world where feedback to the instructor is almost a standard. Anyway, glad to here you are getting into education. Go forth an prosper!
