About
Carol Lantis is a 25 year old, self-taught Illustrator and Graphic Designer. Since she was a toddler her favorite toys were paper and pencils and she's been drawing ever since. Later in life she started to experiment with other artistic mediums such as the computer, after interning under a music teacher who happened to be a graphic designer as well. A whole new horizon opened up before her when she realized she could mix both her manual and digital tools very well and now, after endless nights of red eyes and headaches, she still won't set the computer down.
Her work goes from illustrations to graphic design projects such as logos, magazines and cd covers, but her passion really lies on making illustrations, be it with pencil or on the computer. Her illustrations are marked by dreamy landscapes and fantastic creatures, organic shapes and lots of color and contrast. Her mediums are usually pencils, charcoal, sharpies, watercolor, Illustrator and Photoshop, and she works on a Mac and is very proud of it.
Random Facts
Carol went to a Graphic Design College for a year in Brazil but had to put her studies on hold to finish up both her and her husband's respective American and Brazilian documentations. Regardless of this, she is always learning new things on her own and she plans on transferring to a School in the United States as soon as she can. In addition to her knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop, Carol is also proficient in InDesign and CorelDraw. Carol is also a musician, a singer/songwriter and is just finishing her first CD project along with her husband, Ryan Lantis. A link to their music MySpace will be available soon. Carol also paints with acrylics every once in a while and likes very big and awkward shaped canvases. She went to Fashion Design School in Brazil for one semester and then left to move to the United Stated to go to Bible School, where she met her husband. She also makes clothes and accessories out of fabric scraps every now and then and just opened her own Etsy shop at www.shopsoliloquy.etsy.com . She is a perfectionist and most likely a workaholic.

oh! that's well, it's just the same that happened to me. I entered to graphic design career at a local university in honduras in 2005, but at the middle of it i discovered that illustration is my passion, but now i have to finish the graphic design career and it will be about ending of 2009. I never studied illustration but i would like to enter to the college of arts of savannah, i have heard that it's pretty good. Godbless.
