It's crazy what can happen in just one weekend.

Oh man, good good weekend. Friday, ima robot played at the Natural History Museum. It was a ridiculously hip event. They served wine and beer and you could run around through all the exhibits while the show was going on. I was in heaven. And also my archaeologist crush came with us. He drives me crazy, like how Britney means it. So fun.

Then saturday morning was a lawn bowling lesson with Liz - a senior citizen who's won national lawn bowling tournaments. Then we hit up an estate sale, at which I bought hundreds of dollars worth of old books in perfect condition for $20. I got a hard-cover world atlas, a book about all the National Parks in the US (along with a gigantic wall map of the US with all the parks on it), a plant and animal identification manual, a book about the history of astrology, a couple about shipwrecks, and like a million more that I can't remember right now. I was freaking out. Kelsey went to Hollywood that night, so I went to the bar by myself and ended up in a stretch hummer with a bunch of lesbians in gold pants and gem sweaters. We went to a club in Costa Mesa and danced the night away. So fun.

Today was a trip to San Pedro to see the tide pools and this old road and some houses that slid down a cliff during an earthquake. We had to climb down pretty steep, rocky paths to get down to it. There were big slabs of concrete and foundations of houses in piles. I got to sit on barnacle-covered rocks and watch the tide come in, bringing hermit crabs, starfish, sea urchins, etc. Some dolphins were chilling out in the distance. So fun.

And just now we got back from a SOUND OF MUSIC SING-ALONG at the old theatre in San Pedro! There were people dressed up like the characters, and every time a song came on, the words appeared at the bottom of the screen and everyone sang along. There was a guy dressed like the long lost gay Von Trap sibling who was hosting it, and he just made Mystery Science Theater type comments throughout the dialogue. I sang my heart out. So fun.

It's crazy what can happen in just one weekend.
