Alright, so this is Caustic on virb.com. For those who don't know Caustic is a one-man operation out of Madison, Wisconsin USA. Matt Fanale started this mess in 2002 and has since somehow become mildly popular with the rhythmic noise, industrial, and general "people who are jaded with most music and don't give a shit anymore" crowd.

He's put out several CDs in a short timespan, from 2006's "controversial" Unicorns, Kittens, and Shit to 2007's Booze Up and Riot to plenty of limited CDR releases and all kinds of free online shit. Most of it was released on Crunch Pod, although many releases were on Sonic Mainline, the label Matt runs.

Caustic live (generally consisting of Fanale and his cohorts in The Gothsicles or Endif) is a mess of extremely loud mayhem, garnering a reputation for anything goes douchebaggery that has both gained Caustic noteriety as well as infamy for stupid stage antics, including feminine hygiene products being sprayed all over a crowd, a massive underwear fight, male go-go dancers in fat suits, and the much-lauded (by homosexuals) "gay pr0n" shows, which subject the audience (but not the band, ha ha) to hardcore gay pr0n projections.

Caustic has been fortunate to share the stage with everyone from COMBICHRIST and KMFDM to THIS MORN' OMINA, GRENDEL, GOD MODULE, ISZOLOSCOPE, CHEMLAB, VNV NATION, and APOPTYGMA BERZERK. What does that mean? Yup, Caustic puts out to get on good bills. Try it. It makes all the difference.
