As some of you know I'm writing a book about the non-Western scene in experimental, electronic, improvised and noise music. Academic and non academic.
During the past few years I've been traveling a lot, mostly in Far-East and South-East Asia but also a bit in the Middle-East and North Africa to collect records, tapes, documents, fanzine, contacts, meet people, talk, etc.
I'm still doing a lot of researches through the net and read many books.
I still have to contact some of you again (you know who you are !)- I'm sorry to be so slow to keep in touch sometimes.
I post this message to ask some help : if some of you have any contacts or information or lists of artists, venues, biographies, discographies, references, recordings and so on which could interest me, that would be wonderful to write me ! Any help would be appreciated.
I already collected about 150 or more recordings, many names and websites but my work is really not complete at all !
Specifically, I'm looking for anything from : all Africa, eventually including the Canary Islands, all from the Middle-East (including Turkey, Cyprus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan), all Far-East and south-East Asia (including territories such as Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Tuva, East-Timor, Brunei and eventually Papua-New Guinea and Palau) BUT NO JAPANESE ARTISTS PLEASE, THERE ARE ENOUGH BOOKS ABOUT THAT SCENE.

Certain-e-s le savent, je suis en train d'écrire un livre sur la scène musicale expérimentale, noise, improvisée, électronique non-Occidentale. Académique et non-académique.
Durant ces dernières années, j'ai beaucoup voyagé en Asie principalement, mais également en Afrique du Nord et au Moyen-Orient afin de collecter des enregistrements, des références, fanzines, documents, contacts, rencontrer des gens, etc.
Je continue à faire beaucoup de recherches sur le net et lis pas mal de livres.
J'ai pour jusqu'à présent collecté 150 enregistrements ou plus, de nombreux liens vers des sites et artistes, mais le travaille ne touche pas à sa fin !
Je poste ce message afin de demander de l'aide : si quelques-un-e-s parmi vous possède des informations, références, contacts, enregistrements, listes d'artistes, biographies, discographies, etc. qui pourraient m'intéresser, je vous serais bien reconnaissant de me contacter.
Les recherches portent sur : toute l'Afrique (éventuellement incluant les Îles Canaries), tous le Moyen-Orient (comprenant la Turkie, Chypre, la Georgie, l'Armenie, l'Azerbaidjan, l'Afghanistan, le Turkmenistan, l'Ouzbekistan, le Kazakhstan, le Kirgizstan, le Tadjikistan), tous le Sud-Ouest et l'Extrême-Orient (comprenant les territoires tels Hong Kong, Macao, Taïwan, Tuva, le Timor Oriental, Bruneï et éventuellement la Papouasie-Nouvelle Guinée et Palau).
