Pumpkin and Murders

That’s the theme for today. It was my real first Halloween really, and it was good. I get to carve a pumpkin for the first time, which was cool. Then we waited and waited for trick-or-treaters but only a few came, but they were really cute. There was a little boy dressed as Peter Pan, he said “tick-tweet”, that’s trick-or-treat, in adult language.

We watched Sleepy Hollow and American Psycho, both really weird movies, and both probably would be better if I didn’t understand English.

It was a great day. I really like it here. And since I landed from the plane, I haven’t stop thinking that my dad would love it here, too. I think this is the kind of place he’s always wanted and my mom hated. He should retire here.

I carved a pumpkin! Well just the eyes, Micah did the creepy smile. It’s the joker. And the scarecrow was something Micah had hanging around in his barn, all those things are, there was also a scythe, the kind the grim reaper has, but he thought it was too much. I thought it’s awesome that he has a scythe and a scarecrow handy. And yes, the barn, not garage, they have barns here!

Jamie, look, that’s the wash bowl and jug I told you about. Micah says they don’t use it, but I pretend to wash my face in it in the morning. Also that’s the guest room I’m staying at. And that’s the porch where we worked all day yesterday until 5 a.m. Okay I’m gonna go carve a pumpkin. And I asked Micah, he says I can give you guys a tour of the house, and as far out to the back yard as the internet would allow.
