Personal and political ideology aside, I've been watching the run up to Al Gore's Live Earth global warming world-wide music extravaganza with tepid interest. But an interesting, and for me wildly exciting, bit of information has caught my attention.

Mock-rock band Spinal Tap, who we all remember from Rob Reiner's mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap will be reuniting for a special performance at London's Wembley Stadium as part of the Live Earth concerts taking place on July 7. As a huge Spinal Tap fan, this is a big deal. And for those of you thinking that Spinal Tap has jumped on the Global Warming bandwagon, Rob Reiner's quote from this article can set your mind at ease:

"They're not that environmentally conscious, but they've heard of global warming," said Reiner... "Nigel thought it was just because he was wearing too much clothing that if he just took his jacket off it would be cooler."

Hopefully with the advances in audio technology, they can now turn their amps up to 12.
