About Chakraeater

Grinding hard edged raw rock textures with gritty synths and dirty electro, this is the sound of the Chakraeater today. Starting as a progressive electronic music DJ, John Call explored progressive and intelligent elements of house, breakbeats, electro and down-tempo in the late 90's before expanding into a live act. In 2006 he and Joh Ming started collaborating as a potential live act in the studio and began developing a more expansive and undefinable sound which incorporated elements of electro, rock, ambient and IDM. They then developed a multimedia live act utilizing video and lighting as part of their artistic repertoire and continue to explore new ways to shape their sound to this day.
