charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. We give 100% of the money raised to direct project costs, funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need. Just $20 can give one person in a developing nation clean water for 20 years. In 3 years, we've funded 1396 projects in 16 countries, serving over 700,000 people.
Give and Get the Gift of Clean Water

Let's be honest. Every year we get lots of gifts we don't need and some we don't even want. What if this year you asked for gifts that went to a good cause? charity: water has lots of options for you (which you can check out at http://www.mycharitywater.org/holidays and www.charitywater.org/shop).

1. Ask your family and friends to give up gifts for you entirely, start a mycharitywater campaign, and tell them to donate whatever they can there as your present instead. Maybe your friends or family will ask to get donations to your campaign instead of presents too!

2. Pledge to give $20, $50, $100, $250, or $500 every month for the next year, or ask your friends or family to do so in your name.

3. Send an e-card to your friend or loved one and give someone you've never met the gift of clean water. Personalize your e-card with a custom message and choose a date when you’d like it to arrive. The recipient of your card will be able to choose one of three countries where they’d like the money to go.

4. Give your family some of our beautiful merchandise, like our tees and hoodies, thermoses, or charity: water wristbands (or ask that your family buy it for you!).

5. Send family and friends one of our specially-packaged holiday gifts, from a $24 donation card, that comes boxed with a wristband as a token of the person that you've helped, a gift card telling them the amount you've donated in their name, starting at $40 and up, or our complete holiday gift box, with a water shirt, 5 wristbands, a charity: water thermos, and a DVD about charity: water for $80.

6. Sponsor a well in your friends' and family's name for $5,000 and give an entire community clean water for 20 years.

Doesn't this sound so much cooler than another pair of fuzzy slippers?

Thanks for all of your support,
The charity: water team

This is the story of a hospital in Kenya that has no clean water. We've gone there, met the people and gotten to know the community. And now we need your help. Give us $32, give more - in two weeks we will pack our bags and head to Kenya once more to document the first freshwater well being drilled - with your money.
