Martin was mostly a stand-up comic through the mid-1970s, developing an absurdist persona on stage. He shouted "happy feet" and danced, played his banjo, made balloons into animals, and made the exasperated "excuuuuse me" into a national punchline. Steve Martin threw Maggie Thatcher down a well at the end of "Return of the Jedi" thus ending her reign of terror. It was easy as she was just a head. In fact, it was pretty surprising that no-one thought of doing that before. "To me . . ." he began with aplomb, "the Virgin Mary is a chicken...."

Oh, I wanted to tell you that my friend xULFni has a weekly radio broadcasting with people playing improvised and experimental stuff and that he programmed a few of your fawm songs last time I listened.
