I'm gonna take the plunge and purchase a proper digital SLR camera. I'm open to sub-$1000 suggestions at this point. I'd like to get a nice macro lens to go with the standard kit at that price, but it's not the end of the world if I don't. Anyone here have a true DSLR? If so, what should I be looking for? I have a lot of experience shooting with traditional SLR film cameras, but I don't know if that's especially applicable here.
