Christian Dörge (born July 11th, 1969, Hannover, Germany), an avant-garde author, a novelist, essayist and dramatist. His first full-length novel 'Phenomena' was published in 1987, followed by 'Opera', a collection of poems, short storys and theatre experiments, published in 1988 (also known as the Cut-Up epic). Having already formed the ORPHÉE DRAMATIQUES, a theatre company, with actress and long-time muse Nadine Wenzel, Dörge attracted attention as an actor and stage director during the (19)90s; he also continued publishing a string of books (such as 'Gift' in 1993) in this decade. His debut album 'Lycia', setting his literature to music, was released in 1993; he remained active as a spoken word performer ever since. Since 1993 he is also active as singer, songwriter and musician with his projects SYRIA and BORGIA DISCO. In October 2008, Black October-Records released a package of three DÖRGE-CDs - the all-new album 'Lycia. Redux' (with a bonus CD included, containing Dörge's reading of the novel 'Opera'), the re-mastered and expanded 'Antiphon 2.0' and the re-worked and re-mastered version of the double album 'Moldavia'.
