So, I have decided to put up a couple of songs from the upcoming record, "Learning To Walk Alone." It is due out in July, (that is, if it is not pushed back again.)
"The Promise," is one of my favorites. The album version features my favorite drummer of all time, Kevin McClain (check out his new project Green,) Daniel Owen from Heartwood on bass and Justin Huey from Mona Ray on piano. I collaborated with Lucas Grey Kincaid on the programming for the song. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this song evolve and come together.
"Sacred Heart," is the closing song on the record. It is a lullabye that I wrote for my son. He went through a pretty long phase of not being able to get to sleep out of sheer fear of monsters, aliens, noises and darkness. He has since been freed of his phobias. I like to think that it had maybe just a little bit to do with the words in this song. The album version features Kevin McClain on drums and Daniel Owen on bass.
I hope that you enjoy them. You can purchase the acoustic versions of, "The Promise," and, "Sacred Heart," from my SNOCAP player. Let me know what you think.
