Back in high school I went through my formative prog rock phase, and was nearly simultaneously introduced to the keyboard stylings of Rick Wakeman (from Yes) and Keith Emerson (from Emerson, Lake & Palmer). While I still maintain that Emerson is a better musician, my god Wakeman can play fast...
