I'm Clay. I play drums for a living.
Jingle Grooves is the first sample track I've recorded by myself. It's a one-man-band approach to making music (please hold your applause for the production quality, only 2 mics were used). There are 4 sections to the jingle: intro, verse, chorus x 2, and verse/outtro. Each section has a totally different feel because I wanted to show versatility. Even though my guitar parts stay constant, I changed the feel of the groove in each section. This is in no way intended to showcase complex playing or crazy chops... it is purely groove. Just ask Steve Jordan. Not that I should be compared to him...
The other four tracks are for a project with Eric Brown. He's a merch guy, songwriter, and aspiring recording engineer in East Nashville and is going to be making his face known soon. Be on the lookout for his shows around town. As of March 12, 2008, we have begun re-tracking the songs for a full length record. I'm really excited about the sound and look forward to revealing the finished product this Spring. For Amanda was completed early March and the other three were finished in the Fall of 2007.

I've been using Reason and Ableton Live. They work together really good. I have them on my powerbook G4 and then use a M-audio Oxygen 8 keyboard. I've been using that same software/hardware setup for programming and also for playing tracks/click with CircleSlide. That's crazy that you were there! Lutito is amazing. That was my first show in Nashville cause i haven't been here that long, and it was a great first show.
