Ann brings me closer to death
She fell
And broker her hip.
The surgery left an ugly mark on her leg.
She repeatedly asks what happened,
Why she hurts.
Ann is fat.
She can't remember how much she's
Eaten.
So she eats
And eats. Like a dog.
Until you take her food away.
Her hair is disgusting, like straw.
More scalp than hair is visible
When you glance at the coarse,
Dark strands.
Ann's bones are rigid.
She moves with great strength
In tiny motions.
The decay started in her flesh.
Then penetrated her mind.
I knew when she tried to cheat me
In Rummikub
By using the same move
Four times.
And the first time she forgot my name.
I hate her
This woman, my flesh
Because
I am beautiful and young full of
Energy and life. I dance and I run
I cry.
Ann brings me closer to death.
My grandmother,
My flesh.
