Clutch Player is born may 4th 1978, in Paris, France.

At the age of 15, he started a pop/rock band, deeply influenced by Radiohead. Guitar player and singer, he writes more than 50 songs that helped him to build his way to create music. Around that time, he meets hip hop culture with bands like De la Soul, Erik B & Rakim or the first releases of Gangstarr or the Wu-Tang-Clan. Anxious to know more about the origins of this music, he spends his spare time in Jazz, Soul and Funk shops.

Concurrently to his law studies at the University of Sorbonne in Paris, he decides to make his music dreams come true and buy an MPC 2000. With this very only device, he starts to create beats for his emcee friends. After graduated (he still working on a law thesis to become doctor of public law), Clutch P undertook the elaboration of its first solo LP called "The Atlantic Connection All Stars" forthcoming on BBe records, home of Hip Hop legends such as J Dilla, Pete Rock, Dj Jazzy Jeff, Dj Spinna, Marc Mac or Dj Vadim. Owe to new possibilities of internet, he meets and becomes friends with some hip hop legends like Prince Po, Sean Price Wildchild or Insight.

Always looking for the melting of his pop/rock background and his love for classic hip hop Clutch Player's ambition is to be a music explorer and to break hip hop borders.
