About
Ez, I'm Cogent, a music producer from Rushden, England. I'm 30 years old and started out in music playing guitar in bands around the age of 14. After some busy years gigging and recording in a couple of bands, I started playing around with technology around 97-98, after being exposed to electronica and drum n bass. I started making electronic music seriously around 2000 and found the tracks I was making were on a drum n bass tip. This led to a little UK exposure from a few djs and 1xtra in the cutting room competition. After a while I felt more at home slowing down the beats and have now been making dubstep / grime / electronic music, whatever you want to call it for the last 2-3 years. My recent tracks have been getting some worldwide exposure on radio and at events, some getting played as far out as Australia (Garage Pressure Crew) and America (Joe Nice Gourmet Beats Radio) and then back in the UK, on stations like 1xtra, Rinse FM and Resonance FM.
