Short: I am a typical, cynical, pessimistic person who hates everything. I still want to be your friend, though.
Not so short:
I am a student in Northeast Florida whose hobbies include blogging, web design, photography, and the internets in general. I am taking programming (Java), and Japanese in school, and I hope to either go into a medical or programming career in the future.
I love Japan, and visited in the summer of '08 as an exchange student. I especially love Japanese culture and music, hence the often unreadable song titles in my "Recently Listened" sidebar module (VIRB doesn't like Japanese characters).
Photography: I became interested in photography during my 365 Challenge, a quest to take a picture of myself each day for a year. I started my 365 Challenge with inspiration from Mathilda, an internet friend I met on Pownce, and since have been honing my photography and processing skills daily. I initially used an old Sony Cybershot P100, and absolutely loved it, but I needed something better, so I bought a Sony Cybershot DSC-H3, and could not be happier with it. I will be showing in an art show for my photography soon.
Internets: Feel free to add me here, on Twitter, or on Flickr (I don't really do much anywhere else), I always like having more friends.

Dear Mr. Colin Hill, I think you're swell. SO swell, that I think you should buy shares in my current company, which transfers illegal drugs to young children in Africa in dire need to get high. I know this little blurb that I've just unleashed sounds totally wrong, morally and ethically, but really, it's not. I mean, everyone deserves a chance to get a little smashed in more ways than one. Even you sir! That's why, for a limited time, and for apparently being "Mr. Awesome" I'll throw in some illicit drugs for your body too! I know, right? This is intensely awesome, and all I ask for is a few mil, or at least some access to a credit account that is located in Greenland. I know, you're probably thinking Greenland is an obscure place, but it's the only place that will accept my company. Even Amsterdam turned me down, which is just plain out WRONG! Also, since I heard this awesome girl talking about you, whom I think you should know, considering she's the president of your fan club, I have become a "Colin" fan myself, but I won't get into details about how much I fantasize about you at night, when I'm alone, in a bed. Oh wow, we're really off topic here, and this was strictly supposed to be spam, and not some small attempt to win your heart. Oh well, till my next attempt to scam you into one of my successful companies, I am yours. Sincerely, Princess Consuela Banana Hammock.

Glad to see you talking to more people than just Lauren - and yes, cultivating the relationship sounds good! Will try and chat more later - I do neglect quite a few of my friends on here and stick with the same old clique - they are a good bunch though so no complaints! - See you around.

Dear Mr. Colin Hill, I would like to notify you of your growing fanbase, and on that note, I would like to inform you that I am your greatest fan. I have your name tattooed on my body--twenty six times in twenty six different languages. Who knew there were even that many languages in the world?! I recently invested in an entire "I LOVE CH" bed set, which I must say from the thread count, is top quality stuff. I have your name written on everything I own and I am currently bidding on a DNA sample of yours to complete my collection of all things COLIN. I hope to one day, eventually, take you as my king where we can move to Guam. We will there have twenty six children, to match my twenty six tattoos of your name and we will name all our children Colin. (Since you can now determine the sex of your child, I'm thinking we should have all boys, since Colin sounds a bit odd for a girl). I cannot wait for this day to come! When I take you, we will wed on the island of Java in Indonesia, or Kuala Lumpur if you are so set on that location. We will travel to Antarctica for our honeymoon and then spend days upon days in a little igloo staying warm, where we will procreate and produce those twenty six children we are so excited to have together. I hope you have the same feelings towards me as I to you Mr. Hill. Signed, the future love of your life with twenty six tattoos, Lauren Fischer
