Didn't realise that PM and government ministers had a full cabinet meeting at the Albert Hall in Nottingham today. Bored of London are we?

Hmm. Most my October expense receipts are in Dutch, which is making things twice as hard as usual.

I have to step away from this. The arguments are getting ridiculous and short-sighted. Twitter's gone all Daily Mail on my ass.

Arggh. This SmashingMag article has spawned so many weak arguments and misjudged views regarding "art directed" blogs, context, choice. Rage

I'm clearly a big fan of Greg, Jason & Dustin, but do think SmashMag missed the point. Also, never use the word "blogazine" again, please.

Explaining to my ex why I think some of her typographic choices and alignments aren't quite right—without being insulting or a pompous cock.

I still think The Decemberists' The Hazards Of Love is absolutely, indulgently, pretentiously, freakishly, romantically bloody incredible.

Happy birthday @malarkey and @ryanhavoc. Nothing funny to say—too tired. But I loves you both you old bastards.

I keep posting angry tweets, then deleting them. I am angry, you see. Bad things on interwebs. Time to step away I think. Good night. x

A bit lost for words—probably a good thing—having just seen that @smashingmag "blogazine" post featuring @jasonsantamaria, our @gregwood etc

Back from London, somewhat later than expected. I blame John Betjeman.

Looks like the French have handballed their way to the World Cup. Well done.

About

I'm a web designer/developer, and author. In October 2006 I started Erskine Design - a full service web design and development agency, based in Nottingham - two years on we're a team of eight doing exceptional things!

As lead web developer at Agenzia (www.agenzia.co.uk) from 2002 to 2006, I worked on numerous web projects for major record labels and bands, visual artists, illustrators, businesses, community, and voluntary sector orgs, passionately ensuring everything was accessible and complied with current web standards.

I also write books about CSS, XHTML and web standards for US publishers Apress and Friends Of ED. I do a bit of public speaking here and there, and will generally do anything for a biscuit and cup of tea, but prefer hard cash.

I have lived in many cities, including London and Reykjavik, but have now settled back in my beloved Nottingham, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.
