Computer Perfection

Computer Perfection, a half-baked musical concoction from Michigan. I'm going to be honest, I've labored long & hard over how to describe this band, poring over metaphor after metaphor, spells & recipes, but nothing quite fits. How should one paint this band? What to say of its debut record 'We Wish You Well On Your Way To Hell'?

Let's say this much: influences come from everywhere. Film as much as literature as much as food as much as music. Have you ever seen Albertus Seba's Cabinet of Natural Curiosities? This is what I think of as I listen to 'Domestic Amusements'. You could consider 'Sweetie Pie' a love letter from legendary outsider artist Henry Darger to Neu - or vice-versa. Tolkien peeks in at Felini & French director Chris Marker sharing single malt scotches poured by Max Planck. I don't even know what to make of 'The Strange Echo'; a stoned Martin Denny outtake? 'Silence Is A Shadow's Dream'? A beautiful blue hazy melancholic splendor in the grass dreaming of Harrison's All Things Must Pass.

A lazy one-sheet could just use words like 'psychedelic', 'pop', 'jangle' & 'kraut'. But I guess this one just did too, so where does that leave us? It leaves us with no choice, I'm afraid. It leaves us with nothing left to lose & everything to gain. Let the love flow.
