Cookie Snap, da molti conosciuto come Stokka, nasce artisticamente nel 1994 quando inizia a produrre musica e a scrivere rap, ed è questa stessa passione che lo guida attraverso tutte le sue fasi musicali, passando dalla Setta del Rimario fino a Stokka & MadBuddy, noto duo palermitano che lo vede in gioco insieme a MadBuddy, attualmente una delle più interessanti realtà in italia legate al movimento hip hop.
Cookie Snap rappresenta un suo alter ego, dove l'artista predilige la forma strumentale per compiere un percorso musicale senza una via precisa, ma che basa le sue radici sul suono dell' elettronica, del soul e del funk, cercando di esplorare dei territori che portano la musica ad essere una fotografia degli stati d'animo. I synth, il piano Fender Rhodes e i campionamenti sono gli ingredienti che creano il suono di Cookie, e lo vedono uscire fuori con il suo primo prodotto ufficiale fuori dal Novembre del 2006, dal titolo "Music without notes", un album realizzato in due mesi, che cerca di dare un assaggio delle potenzialità del suo suono, dato al pubblico attraverso il libero download grazie al supporto di soulville free records e disponibile anche in versione limited cd.
Da zero a oltre 2000 downloads in pochi mesi sono un'ottima risposta per "Music without notes" che rappresenta un ottimo punto di inizio per Cookie. Inoltre è da qualche mese "on the road" con il suo live set a base di deep hip hop, electro soul, electro e naturalmente i propri pezzi rimanipolati dal vivo, creando uno dei dj set più interessanti e variegati del panorama street italiano.
Attualmente a lavoro su nuove produzioni, Cookie Snap rappresenta "un respiro nuovo per la scena" come lo definisce la rivista Rumore.

Complimenti, buon lavoro, il piano fender l'ho venduto tantissimo tempo fa ed è stato un errore, ho fatto un concerto in Svizzera con una cantante che abita a Palermo , magari la conosci, è del Madagascar ed ha una grande voce, starebbe bene sulle tue musice, si chiama Esha Tizafy , io purtroppo sono troppo lontano... per collaborarci.
