Copy Cat Project is all about delicate electronica with a gentle touch of magic and retrofuturism. The tracks are childishly naïve and ethereal, yet deep and mature. The mastermind of the project, Pavel Polyakov, embarked on a mission to spread the beauty and harmony in the world.
The band is currently signed to "Legkie" record label.
There are two more musicians at the live gigs: Alexey generates their distinct futuristic sounds, and Andrey does the programming and keyboards. They make their live gigs against a mesmerizing video background featuring vintage popular science shows and old science fiction movies.
Among other appearances, the guys made a show at Om magazine 10th birthday party and played twice at Nashestvie music festival. The group won the People's Choice Award at Sensomusic festival, played a set at Stereoleto fest along with famous Ladytron and performed a live set at KaZantip.
Copy Cat had their tracks played at Russian Radio ("Neformat" program), Ekho Moskvy in "FM Dostoyevsky", Radio Maximum (Fm Cafe), as well as in "It doesn't hurt to dream" comedy soundtrack.
Pavel Polyakov collaborated on a project with Evgeny Grishkovets and is currently working on a joint project with the legendary British group The Gentle People.
